Have you ever dealt with trying to go to school while taking care of a small child?

If you have, can you leave some comments on how you managed to deal with?
I know for single mothers and even mothers that are married it can still be a hassle.

It's all about time management. I went back to school full time when my second was 6 weeks. My older one is 7. And I work part-time, 4 shifts a week. My husband is a great support and carries most of the bills, but he works retail so he doesn't get home until 8 or 9. I try to do school work whenever I can, but sometimes I can't until the kiddos are in bed. My youngest still doesn't sleep at night and wakes up once or twice a night, soooo I pretty much never get more than 4 hours of sleep at a time. We fixed our schedule so that his days off are my days to work and we pay an in home sitter for LO when I'm at school or clinics. Just making time for school late at night or early mornings or when baby is napping is critical. I try to work ahead as much as I can so I can study instead of worrying about classwork. It's doable with littles it just takes some preparation. One of my classmates is a single mom with a 9 year old and a 4 year old and works part time. Grants and assistance help her. 
If you really want it to do it just plan ahead.

My mom would watch my kids during the day while I went to school. I’d study at night when everyone was asleep for some peace and quiet. 
It’s not easy juggling school and kids, but it can be done. Just keep it up! 😊

I got pregnant my first semester of college. Had my daughter in the summer luckily. I went on and finished on time get my bachelors of science. I’m due with my second any day now and plan to go back to get certified in the medical field.

I went back to school when he was 8 weeks old. It took a bit longer because he got sick at 4 months and I took a quarter off. Then applying to a nursing program took time. 2 months before I started the nursing program he was diagnosed with autism. I graduated August 18, 2018. I found out two weeks later I'm pregnant again lol. 
How did I do it? Honestly girl, I have no idea. It's all a blur. I took as much time outside of the house to study, and did what I could while he was in bed at night. I tried hard to manage my time (not my strong suit) so that I could spend time with him while still learning the material. There were times I thought I'd fail, times I wanted to quit. I had 3 surgeries in one year, ALL during nursing school. It was HARD. But he was also a HUGE motivator. Failing wasn't an option because he was watching. He tells people I'm a nurse now and he's proud of me. 
If you want something bad enough, you have some support (I had my husband who was also going to school full time and daycare... That was it.. No family, no friends in the area), it's possible.

I did, it was easy for me... It was only 9 months of school though. And only 4 hours a day/5x a week.... My MIL doesn’t work anymore so she watched him. 7:30am drop off, 1pm pick up...

Coffee lol I never drink coffee but I did the semester after I had my son. I worked full time, was a parent, and took 2 grad school classes. I did all my schoolwork at night when baby slept for a longer stretch.

Yes I had two, no job, and huge payments when I became single at 21 almost 22. I sold my home and moved into a cheap trailer, became a waitress and started school. Thankfully my mom was an amazing support system for while I was working crazy shifts in the beginning. Food stamps, fafsa, and daycare assistance got me through it. When my now husband moved in and began helping with everything it was such a blessing. There were times where our schedules were opposite so we would just see each other maybe two minutes in passing. Our lives were really crazy for the first three years. I graduated in May and now things have totally changed for us. It’s been a great and insane journey, but totally worth it.

I did. It really came down to time management. I took online classes and did assignments mainly st night and during nap times so I was interrupted. I had a pretty consistent schedule with the kids so I knew that I’d maximize my time and I wouldn’t get 5 hours to study one night and only 1 the next. I also made sure I did something every day. There were days I was tired or I just wanted ten minutes to myself but I made myself do at least 20 minutes of work a day. That way I never got super behind. And asking for help. Some days I just needed a sitter to come and watch the baby for an hour so I could do a test or I needed someone to help me run an errand because I couldn’t go out because I was studying. It was all worth it though
