Diaper genie?

How useful are they really? How often do you realistically use them? Worth it? TIA

I used it with my 1st baby and ended up hating it. It gets stinky eventually, the bags are pricey, it's annoying. I use a small trash can with plastic bags from the grocery or you can buy them (bathroom sized) when it gets full or has a poopy diaper, I throw it out with the kitchen bag if it's full or just tie it and take it to the garbage.

I loved mine.  It was very convenient and made changing diapers easier.  I can’t imagine disposing each diaper individually.  I just had a lot of refills on hand.

I HATED the diaper genie when my first was in disposables but I’m the type that preferred to throw diapers straight into the outside trash.

I love ours. It is so convenient to have right next to the changing table, so I can just toss the diaper right after I change it. It does a good job of containing the smell so far, my son is 8 months now. I find the refills worth the money, the Diaper Genie brand refills do a great job of containing the odor.

I love ours. We used to have a regular trash can for diapers but it was terrible with the odor and my son loves opening lids. We got this and the odor is gone and he can’t open it. We are definitely getting another for baby number 2.

I loved the diaper genie for my son when he was a baby. Now he’s 2 and his poop stinks and it’s all you can smell. I’m pregnant now with baby #2 so I’ve cleaned it up really well and plan on using it again for the baby. I definitely think it’s worth it for babies under a year.

I used it a lot when my son was a newborn. But he’s a year now and I honestly don’t really use it much anymore.
