So whenever my newborn is fussy(a lot of the time..) he will nonstop cry and nothing I can do really helps him much. If it does he stops crying for a minute then starts back up. So I normally feed him, play with him, etc on my bed. I normally have the tv on for background noise or to watch while feeding. I discovered that when he is crying and upset if he sees the tv he instantly stops crying and becomes mesmerized by the tv. I've been letting him watch cartoons and stuff on the tv because

It seems to calm him down when he's crying and like I said nothing seems to help. Does this make me a bad parent to sit my 7 week old in front a tv to help calm him? I don't know, I feel guilt about it, like I'm a bad mom for letting him stare at a screen.
