Contraceptive help.

So I’m on the combined pill. I haven’t finished the pack that I’m currently taking but now would be a good time for the pack to end and for me to have a bleed. (If that makes sense). Can you just stop taking the pill half way through the pack, then wait 7 days and then start a new pack?
