When should I take a test?

So i have missed my period By 8 days now and don’t know when I should test cause I last tested on the 30 and got a BFN. I am having sore nipples, and cravings right now and mild cramps very rarely. 
Also I was wondering why the app wasn’t showing when I when I was going to ovulate for February? Does it all depend on my period as well?

Yes. Your app isnt showing your next ovulation bc you haven’t logged a period... I’m on CD 41. Called my OB yesterday, they told me if I didn’t have a period in 4-6wks to call them back. Sometimes you can have an cycle you don’t ovulate. And can cause you to miss it completely. Are you sure you ovulated?
