Did it hurt when you had PP sex? For those who tore.

I keep seeing pp moms saying it hurt really bad and rarely see pp moms who said it didn't. Just want to see if it will hurt or not.

The first couple of times yeah it hurt. We had to use ALOT of lube & hubby had to go really slow with me. It definitely helps a ton if I orgasm before he enters. Seems to loosen everything up & the scar tissue doesn’t interfere

I had a 2nd degree tear with my first son and a 1st degree tear with my second son and we always wait the 4-6 weeks to resume sex after delivery but I can’t do one me of my favorite positions anymore because it hurts my scar so bad and my first is almost 3 and my second is almost 1. I can no longer put my legs up on my husbands shoulders during sex which sucks cause we are ttc but oh well. There are other awesome positions!

With my first I had a 4th degree tear and we waited the 6 weeks and yes it hurt. I had my husband go really slow and use lube and it was still painful. Around 8 weeks I went back to the doctor because I was having alot of pain and turns out I had scar tissue (I forget the medical term they use for it) built up that they cut off. It helped with the pain alot! I went back a few months later to have more taken off. The doctor said it was normal and it can cause pain during sex.

I was reading about some research that found it hurt for the majority of women the first time they had sex pp, whether it was 6 weeks or 18 months later. It wasn’t as painful for me as when I had sex for the first time, but it hurt enough that I couldn’t last long enough for my husband to finish. The second time hurt maybe a little worse than that. 
Use lots of lube, go slow and make sure you are really in the mood! If you are nervous or scared about it hurting, your body will be more tense and that will make things worse. I’m hoping it starts to feel better soon (I’m 2 months pp) otherwise we’ll just be doing hand stuff for a while 😂😬😣 I guess it’s a built in birth control in a way 😅

I had two second degree tears and we waited til 4 weeks after to have sex. It was pretty much an in and out thing the first time because I had like one stitch hanging on, it was birthday sex, and it hurt. I was really tight and we had to go super slow like millimeter by millimeter it felt like. Husband was super awesome about it seeing how he hadn’t gotten laid in over 5-6 weeks at that point and didn’t try to rush it. I can’t remember if we used lube the first time but after I really got cleared at 6 weeks, it took probably a solid 6-8 times because it was painful and we had to use lube. I was breastfeeding and was dry a lot even if I was turned on

I think it depends also how you started out and how your first time was. I’m naturally really tight and had pain the first time anyways, so after birth and my one tiny basically paper cut healed up, I was even tighter and it hurt quite a bit the first few times. Partially from muscles stretching and partially from the tear

I had an episiotomy and 101 stitches I waited my 6weeks and it really wasn’t that bad. Go slow and I’m telling you there’s no such thing as to much lube the first couple times
