What direction is your 2 year old in the car?

Trying to decide when to make the switch to forward facing and curious on where everyone else is at!

Rear facing and he will stay that way until he outgrows the weight limit for rear facing (your specific seat will tell you the weight limit) and/or has less than an inch between the top of his head and the top of the seat. My daughter is almost a two and half and she is still rear facing. I want to turn her around but pediatrician recommends as long as possible up to weight level. Our car seat is 40lbs rear facing and she’s almost 30 now. I may do it come her third birthday but for right now she doesn’t know any other way and I’d be eat up with guilt if she got hurt because I turned her around sooner.

My son’s still under 30lbs and his rear-facing limit is 40lbs. He’s perfectly content rear-facing and it’s safer so figure I might as well keep it up. I worry I might have to turn him before the weight limit depending on if we can squeeze baby #2 rear-facing behind us or not.

My almost 2 1/2 yo is ONLY forward facing bc of how car sick he gets. It was okay’d by my pedi and a friend who’s a car seat safety tech. Otherwise he would have been rear facing until he met one of the max limits (likely would have been height in his case)!

My 4 1/2 year old is 37lbs and 40in tall. She is STILL rear facing. She will stay that way until she reaches the max limit of her seat for rear facing (probably a few more months I'm guessing). Much safer that way and kids were made to bend. Lol. 😄

Don’t do it! Rear facing as long as the seat allows! Their little necks are not strong enough to withstand the impact in the event of an accident

My 2 yr old is 35 pounds and is 36 inches tall. So she is the average size of a 3 year old. If she was smaller she would still be rear facing.
