Job Questions??
So I work at Harris Teeter and on Sunday, unfortunately the Super Bowl, I had to call out of work for a 101 degree temperature. They require a sick note upon returning to work which would be Wednesday afternoon since I am part time. It is required for all employees. It costs about $200 to get checked up due to healthcare so my parents don’t take me for just anything, I have to be very ill. My work will write me up for absenteeism despite only calling out of work three times in my entire one and a half years of working there. Is there any way to avoid this write up? Am I legally allowed to have my parents sign that I was sick? I am their dependent so I can’t exactly just go to the doctor on my own accord. I just turned 18 and I am a senior in high school. This is the only job I’ve had.
