Who does your ultrasound???

This is my 3rd child and i have literally never had an ultrasound done by my OB. My first two had the same OB, 3rd one has a different OB. I have had multiple ultrasound throughout my pregnancies (growth scans) and they have always been done by an ultrasound tech. I never thought anything of it but i have noticed that many women on here mention their OB doing their scans. Just curious how common is this. Who does your scans and where do you live??

The ultrasound tech does them expect if something is wrong. My doctor likes to see things for himself so sometimes he just tells me hes doing one or doing another one.

Never my ob I had tech my on office was busy so they have techs their so the doctors don't have to take time out of their patients

My OB does scans on a very small machine for confirmation. Other than that all growth scans and anatomy scan are done by a tech on a much better machine.

I live in South Florida. My OB does my ultrasounds, but when I go to my perinatologist a tech does them.

I had both my OB and Tech do my ultrasounds while pregnant. Depending on how busy and what the ultrasound was for determined who did it.

When I was pregnant, it was an ultrasound tech, until they found something was wrong with my babys spine. I went to the specialist and my OB did the ultrasounds from then on

My OB did my dating scan in his office, as well as a scan when I had blood in my urine at one point, but I go to a separate clinic with an US tech for my anatomy/growth scans. 
So both lol.

I had my initial ultrasound done by a tech at 8w. Today I had a follow up ultrasound done by my ob due to spotting and cramping 10w6d, this is my first experience with an ultrasound done in the office by ob. I’m in Colorado.
