I'm engaged and we've set the date for October. My fiance's and my parents both live in the same city, an hour away from where we live as we're going to school. So it's hard to get together and talk with the parents.

The thing I'm stressing out about is that my dad basically said he hates my fiance's parents and would rather me elope than to be in the same room as them. Later, I was telling him about how I'm stressing out about this already and that there are going to be people at the wedding that he absolutely hates and that I'll do my best part at keeping peace by placing them at different tables and whatnot, but he's gonna have to deal with it. I also asked him how much he and Mom want to be involved with my wedding and the planning, because they didn't seem super thrilled and pretty much ignored anything I said about it. He said the definitely do want to be involved, but I'm just not feeling it from them. I definitely need their help on this, idk what I'm doing!!

I asked if they want to have dinner with his parents and us because they've never met and I think that's really weird and he said absolutely not. He doesn't want anything to do with them. He's never even met them and he hates them?? It just pisses me off to much that he has to be so difficult!!

Idk what to do because I know my fiance's mom and dad are going to want to be involved in everything and I know they're going to want to have dinner with my parents.

What should I do???? 😓😨😱😰
