I'm due our baby on the 7th march but due to health issues I'm now being induced next Friday. So today I thought best to start trying to express. And I achieved my first 1ml of colostrum. This might not seem alot but to a baby it is and will give her the best start with all its goodness. I feel very proud of myself this is my second baby and with my first I wasn't made aware you can do it leading up to labour well no I no it makes you feel somewhat in control of what you are doing and I recommend it to you lovely lady's even if its the last two weeks of you pregnancy it just gets you focused and makes you feel less stressed knowing you no that theirs something for your baby if for any reason they do not latch. Stressing over breast feeding is hard work and for some first time mums not very easy. This is a good way to also help your breast into kick starting their job To create milk. I feel satisfied just knowing I have a ml as tiny as that is. Best of luck girls hope this advice helps. X
