Humbled
I never put myself in LGBT shoes until my husband was diagnosed azoospermic (zero sperm) ... I have found myself only being able to get resources by looking up as if I am in a same sex relationship. I have found my insurance to liken us to a same sex couple, refusing to pay for things like sperm storage due to the sperm not being that if the insured. I have had to go to therapy for clearance to reproduce using a donor. We have had to pay $5k so far in testing, storage, legal counsel and therapy! We are in the quarantine home stretch. My heart goes out to all fighting to conceive! Fighting to be on their child’s birth certificate and struggling emotionally throughout the process. ❤️ 🌈
