Are you super cautious about the things your baby puts in his/her mouth?

I have a 6 month old and I've always been such a clean freak when it comes to her! I'm super cautious about the objects she puts in her mouth, I wash teething toys when they've fallen on our home floors, and I really don't let her put anything in her mouth except her toys. Curious if this is normal or over the top.

Public spaces=gross ..... at home or friends I dust that pacifier off and stick it back in. Lol

I've never been scared of germs 🤷🏻‍♀️ germs are good for them. It's what builds their immune systems.

I was at first just because she's our rainbow. But around 4 months I stopped being so cautious. Like before if her bink fell out, I'd wash it. Now it falls and I just pop it in my mouth and give it back to her. Unless we're outside or like at the store. Then I wash it. About once a week we clean and sanitize her toys/highchair/exersaucer. Just because she constantly puts them in her mouth and they get really gross lol.

I'm really cautious with my 5 month old. I wash everything that falls 90% of the time. The other times I wipe her toys with a clean washcloth. I constantly wash my hands. I was her bottles very meticulously. I even sanitize her formula can, water jugs for her formula. Pretty much anything that's hers. Sure they build their immunity. But I think I'll protect her a little while longer. 
I also sanitize my cellphone when I come home from being outside. Because you never know what you have touched out there. Just the other day there was a homeless person at the bank. He really stank up the place, we walked with his pants down (even though someone told him he needs to put up his pants), and you just don't know where he's been. I can just imagine, never washing his hands when he poops, probably does drugs or alcohol, and you don't know where that's been. Anyway my point being, if I was there half an hour later, I would have never known he was at the same window. The thought that I could have of touched where he touched makes me cringe. I'm a bit of a germaphobe ever since my daughter was born. I just don't want to touch nastiness then touch her. So I always make sure to carry hand sanitizer and wipes, and wash my hands whenever possible.

It depends on where I am. If I’m at my house or the house of someone I know we’ll, I’m not overly cautious because I know it fairly clean. In public, I’m pretty cautious because I have no idea what or who has touched anything or what’s on the floor that her toys landed on.

No. My son was a premie and a big part of why he didn’t get sick the way doctors expected and warned he may was because  I wasn’t overly cautious about everything he interacted with being pristine and sanitized/sterilzied etc. 
However if parents want to do that for their kids it’s up to them. But a certain amount of germs are good for building up their immune system.

To an extent. But babies explore the world by putting things in their mouth, and by the time they’re 2, they’re pretty gross about it 😂
