Pains and spotting

I'm 6+2 today, and so far had tons of nausea and cramping (period style cramps, not severe). Tonight I got a sharp stabbing pain that felt like it was shooting straight up through me, and then smaller pains and cramping all on one side. The sharp pain subsided after about 5 mins.

I went to check for bleeding and had some spotting

Everything settled down so not going to the ER (hubby was close until it settled down), but just wonder if anyone gets sharp pains and baby is ok?

I know spotting can be normal but it starting immediately after the pain made me nervous.
