Has anyone taken Topamax (topiramate) for migraines and experienced bad side effects?

I’ve recently started the medication and the side effects have been pretty noticeable for me. I was wondering if anyone has taken it and experienced the same thing, and how long it lasted.

I took it and had tingling in my hands and face, it became too annoying so i stopped

I haven’t ever had it but I’ve had patients who were on it and it has some pretty nasty side effects. Hair falling out, rashes, vomiting, diarrhea, passing out. It’s not a very pleasant drug.

I was so nauseous the entire time I took it I barely ate. I was also pretty itchy.

I was on it twice and stopped because once of side effects. Mostly horrible le acne and dry skin, tiredness and brain fog. I felt so dumb.
The second time was not as bad because I had a different neuro and he also had me take high dose vitamins plus 2000mg vit c every day to mitigate the side effects. It did help but I ended up getting a different med because the topomax stopped being effective after a while.
