If you feel the need to look through someone's phone then there is no trust and no need to continue the relationship unless you're really (really) invested. Trust is really hard to get back. Like REALLY hard.

No. Sometimes we use each other’s phones for pictures or music if our phone isn’t near us. We both have each other’s passcodes and fingerprints. But I would never search through his phone with the intent of finding something wrong. That being said, I’ve never had trust issues with him. Had I found out he was talking to another girl in a sexual or romantic way it would be a different story.
