Anyone else dealing with roaches in your house? 😭

Last night, a roach was on my face, gross I know! I freaked out. There’s nothing I can really do about our roach problem because I’m young and live with my parents. My room is actually the cleanest throughout the entire house and it has the least amount of roaches so I’m pretty thankful for that...but I just wanna know if anyone else has this problem? I made this a poll that way no one will be embarrassed about admitting it.

I live with my grandma she has them not bad not very noticeable unless you actually being nosy and just looking around at the house and see one or if one comes out once in a while my grandma sprays and got an exterminator like 5 times and they keep coming back I think it’s cause the house next door cause it doesn’t make since at all😭 one time I had my boyfriend over and he noticed it and was like you know y’all got roaches I’m like no shit, I’m 17 can’t wait too leave because she been living here 50 years she’s not going too leave I fixing hate it also guy take not your house can be super clean and you can still have roaches ￼

One of the biggest causes for having roaches is food. I know you said that it's your parents house but do they know about the roaches? If the house is dirty, ask the family, including yourself, if there are things you guys could rotate on cleaning. Roaches can have health impacts so your parents should be providing a safe and clean environment for you and your sibling to grow up. Sorry dear!

It also depends where you live, I live in the south and we get mostly wood roaches. Or if the weather gets really bad we’ll get them

Roaches are a problem where I live but our house rarely gets any. You can place fresh bay leaves around your room to keep them away. I put some in my kids toy boxes, under dressers, in closets, and anywhere theres a corner they can hide. Replace every month or so.
You can also get the nontoxic traps that attract them with poison food.
