13w 2d - Finding out gender??

I hate to sound ignorant but how are all of you finding out the gender of your babies so soon?! I had my first daughter 6 years ago and my sister told me something about some blood test?? How do I ask my dr for this? Do most insurances cover that or? This is crazy! I’d love to know because I really would hate to wait until I’m like 18-20 weeks for the sono! Lol

I found out at 11 weeks I’m having a girl, it’s a blood test to check for downs, trisomy etc... that also includes gender, my insurance covers all diagnostic testing so it was covered... just ask your dr about it and call your insurance

Be careful, my friend did sneak peek and it was wrong. They said boy and she’s having a girl.

Sneak Peek is an inexpensive at home early gender test. You prick your finger and send blood sample to their lab and they email your results in a couple of days! It’s 99.6% accurate! My husband and I found out we’re having a girl! 💗 You can do the test any time after 9 weeks!

I went to a private ultrasound place in town that does early gender screenings and 3d ultrasounds. Insurance didnt cover the $65 expense but it was well worth it for us!

My insurance sucks. I’m 36, having twins, and lost my last pregnancy to a chromosomal abnormality... still wouldn’t pay for it. However, Harmony does reduced pricing if your insurance denies it. $199 well worth it.

I did NIPT with sex at 10 weeks but a lot of people are going the Sneak Peak route (online purchased test)

I did the same genetic test, we have to pay about $270 out of pocket for it but it’s worth it to us to have peace of mind that baby is healthy with no additional possible health issues! We told them we don’t want to know gender until March when we do a gender reveal:)
