Has anyone had experience going past 42 weeks and avoiding induction? My midwives will transfer me out of their care at 42 weeks (it’s the law in California) but my doula is happy to support me “laboring at home” (*cough* give birth *cough*) as long as everything is going smoothly. I live super close, like a couple blocks away, from three great hospitals, including a children’s hospital, so I’m considering that as my backup option.

Has anyone done anything similar? Or were you able to go to the hospital and still labor naturally? Or something else entirely?

I’m only 22 weeks and yet I’m already worried about going late. 🙈
