So I’m currently using an iPad and I’m gonna get a phone. However, I want either an iPhone XS Max or an iPhone 8 Plus. I seen some on sale on Facebook marketplace for like 600$ or 700$ and idk if I should buy it off there or just go to the Verizon store and get a plan anyways. Idk

If you get one off the market place just be aware there are people who are taking out the inside and replacing them with cheaper parts so that they can make a huge profit off of them , the might be locked , they might not be paid off , etc . So just be extremely careful or even better, go to the store.

My cousin bought a phone from a similar medium (eBay) and it turned out that it only worked in Japan (we live in the US) and they could not unlock it, wasted $700. Your best bet is the phone shop to avoid scams

Try eBay. I’ve bought all of my iPhones and my iPad, my mom’s and grandma’s iPhones from certified sellers or sellers with good reviews and have never had any issues. The iPhone I’m on now is a 6 and I took it to get battery replaced. The Apple Genius told me that my phone was in great condition to be a couple years old and looks even better than him. He kept asking how I didn’t have a single scratch or ding on it!

Defiantly would go to Verizon. That way you could have a payment plan and know what you’re buying in good quality and legit.
