Can't feel iud strings

So I got my mirena iud yesterday. Yesterday after having it done I checked for the strings and they were there and easy to feel for. A half hour ago I checked again and I can't feel them no matter how hard I try. I've been trying to shove my fingers as far as they can go into my vag for the past 10 minutes and still..nothing. 😑 is it normal for you not to always be able to feel them? Should I call my doctor? Help??
