Does it sound like pneumonia?

I thought I had a cold. 
Today at work, I keep getting chills. Then hot. So on so forth. Shortness of breath doing anything. Even the smallest activity. I have a slight cough. Very tired. I feel dehydrated. I’ve never had pneumonia. Everyone keeps telling me to go to the hospital and get checked out. I need more opinions. No fever. At least not when I checked.

It could be a nasty virus. I remember I had a virus so bad I couldn’t have anyone touch my skin because it hurt so much just to do that. 
If you have a productive cough (any phlegm comes out) take note on the colour. If it is dark green or brown, go see someone as it’s likely an infection (brown may indicate something even worse).
If it is clear or very light, it’s probably a virus. Also keep an eye on the amount, of course if it is becoming unmanageable or you can’t breathe through it, see someone. 
Keep track of your temperature & keep drinking water. It would be beneficial to take some vitamin C supplements as long as you have no other present health conditions which would impact this. Try taking maybe 2 supplements a day while you’re unwell.
In the meantime, you could try taking cough medicines and using a humidifier. Perhaps also nasal sprays if you’re congested in the sinuses. 
You might find yourself getting pleuritic pain in the chest from all the coughing, as long as the pain isn’t severe and radiating to elsewhere, you could take something like panadol or ibuprofen.

If your insurance has online care or a nurse line, call that. They can likely give you advice or possibly a diagnosis. If they cannot help, go to a walk in clinic, which is cheaper than a standard clinic appt.
