Low iron, hemoglobin, anemia

Has anybody had low iron during their pregnancy? How did it effect you or your baby in the long run? Did you deliver early? Low birth weight?

I was told I had low iron at 28 weeks and prescribed iron pills. I've been taking them and went back today at 32 weeks to be told that my hemoglobin levels were lower than before.

They are now having me come in tomorrow to receive 3 rounds of IV iron. I am so scared that this will effect my son, that the IV iron won't fix the problem.
