DIY test

Ok so I've read a lot and watched some videos on the matter but does these diy tests really work? I've read about the bleach,sugar,vinegar and toothpaste. But I'm really sceptical, also I'm dying to test but trying to hold out until AF doesn't show. Please let me know what you gals think. Baby dust to everyone.
