Mother in law not happy about pregnancy/jealous?

Hello ladies

My mother in law has always been a little difficult but she has become unmanageable at this point. She gets jealous of my parents or my relationship with my husband and we have to coddle her and make her feel like she is more important than anyone else.

She lives on the East Coast and we moved to my home state of California 1.5 years ago. She never got over the move. We revealed the pregnancy in person over Christmas and she initially seemed happy, but the next day she basically ignored me for the rest of the visit.

Now she is calling my husband, crying, saying she wants to “feel close to me during the pregnancy”... yet she has not spoken to me at all. No text, email or anything. She asked him to tell her how I’m feeling, so I catch him telling her “she had heartburn today, she is not nauseous anymore” etc and it makes me so angry.

Anyways I have no solution and I am glad she is far away, but I see through her. She wants everything to center on her and her feelings. Usually I can play along but not now. I am the one who is pregnant.
