Anyone get their cervix checked a day or two before labor started?

How dilated/effaced were you before labor started?

I was a 1-2 and about 40% effaced the day before I went into labor. She had done a stretch. I labored from 11a to 730p at home. Showed up to the hospital by 9 pm was checked and only a 3. Second time mom. Was a 7 by 1030 pm and delivered by 1114pm

I was 60% effaced and 2cm dilated 3 days before my contractions started. Then I went to a 3cm. FTM. It was slow moving.

I got checked with my second the day before labor started and with my third. I believe I was at a 4 with both.
