Hospital ok with dressing baby?

Is the hospital good about letting you dress your baby however you want? Like if you bring clothes for your baby?

My hospital provided a super tiny t shirt style shirt with a button in the front to keep the baby covered on top but easy access for tests. And on bottom just his diaper and they always we’re swaddling him in the hospital blankets. I never asked if I could dress him, I actually enjoyed looking at his little legs all the time and the shirt was adorable on in my opinion

This is the only picture I can find showing it even a little, it was long sleeve and came with mittens. I still have it with his old baby stuff!

We couldn’t dress our baby until we were leaving. They did it for safety reasons (easy to identify baby in hospital blankets. Didn’t want anyone try and take baby) 🤷🏻‍♀️

My hospitals were totally fine with it but once I got to baby number 3 I figured I would let them do the laundry for a day or 2 lol

It depends on your hospital. The ones in my area do not. They allow it for pictures, but once pictures are done no more

The hospital I had my daughter at provided onesies. When I went to put clothes on her they said to save it and dirty theirs because once we’re home we’ll have so much laundry lol boy were they right 😂

I dressed my son and the nurse removed his clothes almost immediately and told me that they preferred them naked to do skin to skin, which made sense. It was cold though and he had to be bundled the entire time, I even stuffed him in my top! I would have re-dressed him, however all of the clothes were absolutely massive on him (6 pounds), so they were more of a burden.

After baby was bathed we were allowed to dress our little in what ever we desired but before the bath they were just in a diaper and a onsie and swaddle from hospital
