So I’m all for epidural and hospital births but I’m terrified for the tears and after care!

I heard perineal massages help big time and I was wondering what’s the safest lube to use (coconut, olive, or primrose oil)? Do I just stick my thumb/fingers covered in the oil right in my vagina so I can properly massage?

Also is it possible to bring olive oil to the hospital and have them dump a bunch of it down there before I give birth? Anyone experience with that LOL 😆? TIA!
