What to do eith afterbirth?

I have always liked the idea of planting a beautiful tree or bush on top of the placenta of my kids. I will be giving birth to our 3rd baby in the USA but will be moving to Europe soon after. I am looking into options to preserve the afterbirth so I can take it with me. Any ideas?

placenta portraits are a thing. you can either plop it on a piece of paper/ canvas/etc and let the blood soak into a beautiful piece of art, or even use paint! 
you could encapsulate it and then consume it
you could plant it but moving might not be good for plant travel
