Matilda Dorothy Isobel (Nicknames: M and Mati)

I myself am named after my 3 great grandmothers, and absolutely love my name. I wanted to stay within family names, but I also wanted something unique but not spelled outrageously.

I fell in love with Matilda, it’s uncommon and feminine but classic. Dorothy is after my nan who passed when I was a pre teen but had raised me until that point, nothing else felt right besides her name there. Then Isobel is after myself and my great-grandmother(whom I’m named after) it’s a 6 generation long tradition to have some variant of Isobel/Isobella in your first daughters name.

Is she going to hate me for giving her 3 “older” style names?

Sigh. I’ve went through every list, baby book, etc you can find and this is literally the only variant of names I absolutely LOVE. Only second guessing because My grandmother says it’s a mortal sin to name her Matilda and she’ll be made fun of.... she thinks I should name her Tessa or Olivia ..... or something “short and sweet” like that....
