How many oz is your 3 wk old taking at a time?

Our little one has recently started draining a 4oz bottle and last night I had to make a second bottle at his 3am feed.  He only took a half oz of it but he was determined not to go back to sleep without that extra half oz.  that seems like a lot at once time this young...is he overeating?  No big spit ups or anything.

My son has been eating 2.5 to 3 oz at each feeding since he was born. Now he is starting to eat 3 to 5 oz at the time. I feel like if he is hungry enough to eat it and is able to keep it down, then feed him however much he wants. At least I know he isn't going hungry.

Mine is 4 weeks old today and the past few days has been having 4oz instead of 3 every 3 (sometimes 4) hours

If he isn’t puking or spitting up a lot i wouldn’t worry. Our doc says we should feed on demand and however much he wants. My baby is 5 weeks and just barely started taking 4 oz at some feedings when we switched from size 0 nipples to size 1, but he’s always been kinda a weird eater, and we can’t figure out what formula works for him yet so he’s always pretty fussy

I originally breastfeed but wasn't producing enough so started pumping and formula feeding so I could keep track off how much he is getting now since 3 weeks he takes 3.5-4oz every 2.5-3.5hours plus I let him breastfeed when he wants(more of a comfort thing now)

My lactation consultant gave me this equation (based on gaining 1oz/day): 
(Weight x 2.2)/ # of feedings per day 
So basically, if my baby is 9lbs 8oz right now, I do: 
9.08 x 2.2= 19.97 
19.97/ 7 = 2.85oz 
So basically I give her around 3oz with each feeding. 
Im breastfeeding too but I only make about 1oz/breast so I give it to her as an “appetizer” and focus more on the formula. 
At our last appointment she was right on track with her weight gain. 
(I realize this may be a confusing explanation lol sorryyyy)

My son has been doing 3 ounces since one week old (he’s 12 days old now). There is a growth spurt around 3 weeks and they will eat more during growth spurts. There is no need to worry unless they continuously spit up.

My son has taken 3-4oz since 3 weeks. Was 9lbs 2oz at birth. If baby isn’t barfing it up they’re ok.
