Is it okay to let my daughter call my boyfriend daddy?

My daughter is about 20 months old. Her biological father took off when I was pregnant and I've never heard from him since. He's never tried asking about her, seeing her or anything. I started dating my boyfriend about a year ago. (When my daughter was about 9 months old). 
My boyfriend has completely taken her in and treats her the same as his own kids. We're going to be moving in together in a few months. I always address him as his first name to her, but recently she has started calling daddy. 
Should I try to continue to correct this or not? 
We want to get married when I finish nursing school and he wants to legally adopt her when we get married. She's the only dad she's ever known or ever will. I'm not sure what to do.

I mean as long as your boyfriend is okay with your daughter calling him that then I say its fine and the way you explained his relationship with your daughter sounds to me like he doesn’t mind and accepts he :)

If he and you are both ok with it and the bio dad isn’t in the picture, I say let t happen. As long as you think the relationship is going to last and such.

Do you think if you break up in 6 months he will still be involved? Are you okay with sharing the decisions that effect her? I feel like if she is going to call him Daddy you need to make sure you treat him as her father. If you were to break up and he wanted to have her every second weekend, would you be okay with it? If yes, then I think of course! If you and her both consider him her father figure I don’t see any issue with it. My concern is something goes wrong and you no longer feel the need to treat him as her father when she treats him as if he were. Just my opinion! Do what works for your family, I think it’s a beautiful thing that she could have that father figure in her life, family isn’t always blood :)

I have also gone thru this. When my daughter was 2.5 I started to date my now fiance'. In the beginning she would call him her new friend Chris, then it became my friend Chris, then Chris Daddy and eventually Daddy. We were both very serious and involved in each others families. My daughter hasn't seen my ex husband (sperm donor) since she was 18 months and began asking where her dad was around 2 years of age. She didn't remember her dad mind you, she just saw other kids had dads and wanted to know why our family didn't have one. So I began explaining that families come in all different shapes and sizes and thats ok. We read The Family book by Todd Parr. 
So yeah, by the time my daughter started calling Chris her dad, I allowed it. He was the only father figure she had known and he loved her like his own. My daughter is 6 now and we don't hide the truth from her. When she asks about when she was a baby we are honest and remind her that Chris wasn't there until later. In fact I started telling her our own fairytale story: Queen Krysten was married to a King, and gave birth to Princess Avalynne. Soon after it became apparent that the King was not safe to be around and so the Queen and Princess left the kingdom and made a home for themselves. Eventually we met Prince Chris amd we became a family. 
We will be married soon and have a baby due in May. After we have been married for a year Chris will formally adopt her.
Go with your gut. Some will be negative and judge you, but you know what is best for your family.
