High Prolactin Level?

We have been trying to conceive and I did some blood work and my Prolactin is high. Anyone else deal with this? They are setting me up with an endocrinologist to see what’s going on. Silently freaking out. 😳😳

Ive been kinda hoping I would run into someone with this bc I also have this. Found out about 7 months ago and started TTC baby #2 for about 4 months now. My levels were 176 now down to 1 within 2 months. Its very manageable.

Yup me!🙋🏻‍♀️ I have a small benign tumor on my pituitary called a prolactinoma. I was charting my cycles and realized I wasn’t ovulating so my primary care did some blood work. My prolactin level was 74 so she ordered an mri and confirmed a small prolactinoma, also called a microadenoma. I followed up with an endocrinologist and she prescribed bromocriptine. It lowered my prolactin in about 3 weeks to 1. Had a period on 11/15 and ovulated around 11/29 and bfp on 12/10. Unfortunately it ended in a missed miscarriage in January.
I restarted my meds a week after my miscarriage and 3 weeks later my prolactin was at 1.6. Anything below 10 I believed is considered normal for ovulation purposes. They are typically treated with two types of medicine and both are pretty effective at lowering prolactin levels. Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to answer them!
