I'm planning a home birth with only my mom and husband there, plus my midwives.

This is my second baby so no baby shower needed. I am considering a "sip and see" since it would be nice to have everyone come to a drop-in style one day thing. No need to drag out visits.

Is it okay to serve donuts/cookies/fruit and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Mostly it would be my family that come and they aren't big drinkers so I was thinking a brunch time get together. Plus my family is relatively small so I don't want to go all out for just a few people. Seems like a lot of clean up.

I've never been to anything like this, I'm not sure what usually happens.
