I don't want to tell my DHs family that we're expecting #2. They hate me, haven't spoken to our son in over a year, haven't even seen a picture of our son in over a year. They don't even try and mend what's been broken. They blocked me from social media (which is fine, they beat me to the punch there), my MIL uninvited her son and I to attend a very meaningful family trip. My DH will speak with his parents every now and again but mainly just his dad. Essentially doesn't have a relationship with his mom, so I don't see the point in telling them about #2. When we told them we got married his mom said "what's the rush" instead of Congratulations or I'm happy for you, so why tell them if they aren't going to be happy for us or celebrate the new life we're bringing into this world. My DH wants to tell them because he feels a new baby could be what everyone needs to get over the past and move on. What do you ladies think?
