Does anyone live in AZ? Small town girl moving to a large city?

I have lived in The Valley all my life. But things have been hard on us finically. It’s me, my husband and my son who are currently living in my moms studio and have been trying to get out for some time. But where we where we live, apartments and jobs are very competitive and my husbands seasonal job just ended and he is having a hard time finding work. He was offered a job working with his younger brother in Phoenix Az where he will get started off by 15/ hr with benefits.

So what’s the problem here you say, I’m scared tbh. I have never left this town especially to somewhere where we do not know anyone. Plus I just got hired part time with minimum wage but haven’t started because I guess it a a process before beginning work. But with me only working we still won’t make it. And not only this but I also have my mom who is alone right now. She doesn’t have anyone she can rely on. My older brother hardly visits her and my younger brother ignores her all the time. And everyday she reminds me how grateful she feels having me and my son with her because without us she said would feel completely alone. So you guys can imagine how difficult it would be leaving her to live hours away.

But now since my husbands job ended we are currently living by our tax refund week by week but obviously we know we can not rely on this amount for too long. From what we are seeing, our direction is pointing to moving to Phoenix.

I need reassurance ladies? I’m really nervous and we need to make a decision now because our rent is coming up? Is this the right decision? How will I deal living my mom alone here? How can I adapt living from a small town to a large city?
