Too big a risk or worth the risk!? Help!!
Hello mamas! WARNING: Long!! So hubby and I are expecting our 3rd baby March 23rd. Due to a long story and a lot of BS we had to move out of my moms (we were saving up to move out) and still paying rent, but anyways we end up at my dads 1 bedroom apartment (more like studio) in the middle of no where 2 hours from where we used to live. The distance away alone has been affecting A LOT of our lives. My husband not being close to work, not close to my OB or hospital, nothing. We only have one vehicle so he has to leave wherever he is working which is usually at least an hr and a half from where we are now, come home and get me then drive an hour to the doctors. Ect, ect. So we also are living off one income which is his and he makes good money but not enough where landlords feel comfortable picking us to stay at their rental. We have seen and applied for at least 10 rentals and only heard back from one. The catch with this place though is that he will be putting building up for sale in the Spring and he does month to month lease so we don’t have much protection in keeping our apartment if whoever buys it wants everyone out. I’ve also read they can raise your rent with a month to month lease and it’s legal. It’s a place to live though and have my whole family fit in. ( kiddos and hubby) Most of my family/friends say it’s not likely whoever buys it would want the tenants out because it’s the main source of income from the building and it’s not in an area where stuff is selling left and right either. Buuuut I don’t want this to be the wrong decision and in a few months we’re in the same situation we are in now. I’m so stuck. Help!?!?!?
