How did you know?

Question

How did you know it was God telling you to be with your husband/boyfriend/fiancé? Did you feel a strong pull toward them? Did you pray? How did you know? I’m sorry.

He was my best friend. We have known each other for a long time and could talk about anything and I never saw him ‘that way’. 
About two years before we started dating he started seeing me in a different way and I had no idea. So for two years, he was praying that God would change my heart and allow me to see him as more than a friend. 
Fast forward to six months before we started dating, and he was my absolute best friend. My favorite person to hang out with. Then, on a mission trip that we took, it was like God was pulling the veil back from my eyes. It was really slow but He was showing me what a good guy he was and allowing me to become attracted to him. I was agonizing! It was like I was a kid and I had a crush. I was shy with my best friend!! I started praying for God to free me from the feeling. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship because I didn’t know he felt the same way. Long story short he never gave up praying and finally told me how he felt. Now we’re engaged and I have never been happier. 
I still feel like God brought us together. So prayer! Pray about all your decisions but especially one as big as this.

When the Lord used him to save me. I wasn’t Christian before I met him and wasn’t for the first several months dating him. It was the way he treated me and respected me that I knew there was something different. After accepting I do deserve a man like that I delved deeper into why he treats me that way. The only conclusion i kept coming to is that he has Jesus. Then I gave my life to Christ and will never look back. This has been the healthiest relationship I’ve had not only with him but also with myself and now with God. We are talking of getting engaged this year 💜

its the comfort level you feel with your s.o, its not the electricity you feel in the beginning that will fade. I asked my husband how did you feel about me? How did you know? He goes when I was with you I felt like at home, comfy and cozy

There was a STRONG pull before i even meet him. One of my guy friends (Lets say him name was joe) was going to school with my now husband. (John). When (joe) would come to bible study or a party and talk about (john) i would feel this pull to meet him. I felt jealous of other spending time with (John) even though i did not know him. Then one night (Joe) brought (john) to bible study and honestly i cant tell you one thing that was said that night but i can tell you exactly what (john) was wearing who he talked to and where he sat. Later i started working at the school and the sparks started flying between us though we never talked it was just in the air everyone could feel it. We first saw each other in October started dating in july and where married 18 months later.

There was no "feeling" or anything like that. I'm not a feelings person. But we realized we had a lot in common. We had the same values, had the same doctrinal beliefs, and shared a lot of the same goals for the future. We got married when I was 22, he was 26. We've been married almost 2.5 years now and have an 8 month old daughter. He was my first and only.

Prayed before I met him. once I met him I knew without a doubt it was him I would marry.
