Best SUVs for little ones?

Yesterday I was in a car accident that were pretty sure totaled my car ( we’ll know for sure tomorrow) thankful God was looking out and both me and the baby are ok 🙌🏻. It was pretty stressful but trying to look at the silver lining since I had a small car and had wanted a SUV with the baby coming. Now that we will probably be looking soon I’m wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I’d like a compact one that has lots of leg room since my husband is 6”4 and usually puts the seat back so far it squishes anyone in the back seat. So far I’m looking at the Honda CR-V as a possibility.
