Depo trouble

I was on the deposit shot for 7 years and never had a problem until this year. I've gained 30 pounds! I've been eating better and working out constantly and I can't lose anything. My Dr. and I decided to take me off the shot and it's been 2 weeks since I was supposed to have my last shot. Basically I'm asking if anyone else has gone through this and how long did it take for your body to regulate after getting of the shot. Any advice would be nice, I'm feeling a little hopeless about it😥
