My boyfriend said he wants to get married and said if he were to propose it would be after at least a year of dating. We met last year in Spain and got together in June. We've been dating long distance since then because I moved back to Canada for school and he stayed in Spain.

So next July he is moving to Canada and he said he wants to be with me, that he's making a big move for us to be together and not long distance, eventually start a family and all...But I recently asked him when he wanted to get married and he said next year.

Tbh I was disappointed by that cause him moving here, making a career here, and saying all these things makes me feel like the next step is getting married... Not to mention that it also benefits him immigration-wise too! It seems logical

Idk have any of you gone through something like this? What do you think of my situation? Do you have any tips for long distance relationships?
