Safest car seat recommendation?

Hi mommas! I was wondering if any of you could recommend a good car seat? I have been doing research but everything is so over whelming. I really just want something that is safe and comfortable for my little guy! Any advice or recommendations you have would be great.

Don't stress! So long as you buy a new one, it's safe :) They have to pass so many regulations to sell them! We went with Graco snugride quick connect because it has a stroller that it connects to and wasnt that expensive.

It’s definitely overwhelming! I typically like European brands because they seem to have higher safety standards for both crash tests and for chemicals. You can’t go wrong with a Maxi Cosi, Britax, Cybex, Uppababy, or Nuna. We had the Nuna Pipa infant seat and now we’re using the Nuna Rava convertible car seat.

I like the Chicco key fit 30 but it was a little heavy. Please remember though A safe car seat isn’t just the most important thing. Make sure you do your research on car seat safety and read the manual that comes with the car seat you choose. the extra car seat stuff on the market aren’t safe on car seats. Like toys and the big covers they are buckled in. Also, don’t fall under the pressure you might get from friends and family. My mom tried to get me to turn my son forward facing at one. Nope... I would rather him be safe then be able to see me.  Extended rear facing is so much safer for your baby. Usually a police or fire department has a certified car seat technician and they will make sure the car seat is in your car correctly. Some hospitals also have one at the hospital to make sure your baby is properly in the car seat as well. However, mine did not. So just do your own research.
