7 weeks Fetal Pole but no Heartbeat

My 7 week appointment was today and it didn’t go very well..... ultrasound technician said she couldn’t see a fetal pole or detect a heartbeat and that my pregnancy isn’t viable. I was heartbroken and trying my hardest to keep it together. Then I waited in the exam room for another 45min waiting for my doctor while barely being able to hold back tears. When my doctor finally came into my exam room he tells me he went over the ultrasound results and he DOES see a fetal pole. He said that the technician shouldn’t have told me that my pregnancy wasn’t viable and that he has seen a lot of cases like this where there is no heartbeat and then they recheck in a week or two and the heartbeat is found. He wants me to come back in 2 weeks to recheck for a heartbeat and said to stay positive. I had lab work done for my hcg levels and results should be in tomorrow.

I don’t know what to think or how to feel right now....... I’m a wreck. Has anyone ever experienced something like this with a positive outcome?
