Some OBs will tell you not to use them because of stress as you are not a professional and may not pick up the baby's heartbeat easily and also because if a woman were to constantly use one the waves are said to not be safe for the baby with prolonged use.

I used mine at least 2x a day weeks 12-26. Doctor said it was perfectly fine. I don’t use it anymore cuz I feel her move so much

They’re safe and as someone stated doctors don’t like you to use if because of you have find baby’s heartbeat women panic. When usually theirs nothing to worry about. And my doctor told me not to do it to often because it heats up and can cause hearing problems in the baby if done to often.

I havent but they say folks freak out when they cant find a heart beat...I bet it can cause some undo stress
