Has anyone used NuvaRing for birth control? What was your experience?

I’m about to start using NuvaRing after my next period, and I’ve been in The Pill for the last 5 years. I wanted to try something new and see if it had less side effects than the Pill, and take out the margin of error since I don’t have to remember to take a pill every night. What are your thoughts??

I have been using it for years, it’s easy to use. At first the whole two weeks one third week out confused me, but there is an app to help. It’s the best thing. I forget that I even have one in.

I used it and my body couldn’t tolerate it. I’m not trying to scare you, but I’m just gonna be honest and tell my story. I couldn’t eat on it and I would be throwing up at the beginning of every new cycle. I couldn’t bear to be on it for over three months. That being said, my body doesn’t react well to estrogen, so if you have been on estrogen in the past, you may love the ring.

I used it for about 6 months, but sex was very painful and I got UTI a couple of times.    It works!!! I did not get pregnant while using it, I did not gain any weight, felt full of energy.  I hope it works for you 😋

Just recently started it like a weeks ago and so far no problems. Had intercourse with it and my partner said he could somewhat feel it but it didn’t bother him.

I used it for years before we ttc’d, best birth control I ever used. The pill always made me sick and my iud shifted and failed. I would leave it for 3 weeks and always skipped my period week, dr cleared me to do so, since my periods were always long and hard. I plan to use it again after this pregnancy.

I've used it for 3 years and loved it. I'm switching to an Iud soon but will happily go back to it if that doesn't work out. Honestly one of the best bc out today.

Been on it for nearly five years. Best thing I have ever used.

Perk: less hormones, don’t need a daily reminder to use it since it stays there.
Downfall: still same possible side effects as the pill since you still take synthetic hormones. Annoying during sex.
Ended up stopping to use it because I still had mood swings and depression. Not using hormonal birth control anymore.
