Early labor or paranoid first time mom?

Hey y’all, so told I lost some of my mucus plug earlier today and now my feet are super swollen out of nowhere so I put them in water but I heard that swollen feet can be a start of labor but I’m not sure that’s true ... and how long after losing ur mucus plug did u go into labor?

I would call your Dr. ASAP. I had severe swelling like that and ended up with gestational hypertension then quickly turned into preeclampsia. I had to deliver at 30.6 weeks due to it. So just call your Dr. Just to be safe.

Have you had any issues with your blood pressure through pregnancy? My doctor has told me multiple times if I experience severe swelling they want me to call them immediately. I don’t know if that’s universal or if it’s just because of my blood pressure, but I’d call your ob on call line and let them know. That swelling looks pretty severe.

Call your doctor now. I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy but at 39 weeks went into the office for a regular check up and he noticed my foot was very swollen. I hadn’t noticed it because I was at work and on my feet all day so they were hurting anyway. He immediately sent me for a NST and I ended up being induced because of high blood pressure and a worry that I was developing pre eclampsia. It’s not something to mess with.

Yup call your doctor. But i lost my entire mucus plug 4 days ago and been in early labor for a week. Still no active labor

I went into labour about 3 days after I lost my mucous plug. Never had swelling so I cant help you with that.

Agreed you should call your Ob about the swelling. But in answer to your question.. with my first I lost my mucus plug and my water broke at the same time. Contractions started 30 minutes later and I ended up having my baby later that same day. With my second I only lost chunks the week leading up to labor but I never fully lost it (that I saw). I knew I was in labor because i had my bloody show and contractions began to get stronger.
