Is using a breast pump to induce labor safe?

I'm 39+3, so it's not like I'm rushing things. My Dr. Doesn't want me to go over 40 weeks so I'm trying to get this going on my own.

This is a debated topic. Some say that the contractions that pumping brings on are alot stronger and so can be more dangerous for the baby others say it's fine. It's up to the individual I suppose. Im 40+3 and tried it at 38 and it just gave me BH so didn't work for me but heard it works for others

I haven't had any contractions. But I've been having more stretching/pulling pains than normal and baby is very active during and for a while after. Also... My God this hurts. 😂 🤦

Have you asked for a membrane sweep? And I would stick with nipple stimulation manually, a pump will make them sore and you'll be sore enough once baby gets going at them

A lot of providers recommend using a pump as a natural induction technique. I will say, I recently heard a midwife on a podcast say that if you do use nipple stimulation of any kind, you need to do it for 2 hours for it to be effective. 😱
