Brown spotting at 13 weeks?

Hello anyone experienced brown spotting at 13 weeks...I went for my check up on Monday and baby was great with a 148 heart beat. I had a pap smear and been fine...but today after using the restroom I wiped and had brown spotting. Is that normal or should I go straight to ER?

Went to get things checked and the baby is fine...we are so relieved 🤗

I did. A few days later I passed a huge clot (size of a small plum). My doctor thinks the clot had been stuck for a while trying to get out which is why I had a couple brown spotting incidents. I could tell the clot wasn’t a miscarriage because no tissue. Baby was totally fine, just had another ultrasound. Brown blood is old blood and typically not a big deal but call your OB so they know. They will probably tell you to wear a pad and track it. If it doesn’t fill a pad within an hour, it typically isn’t a concern.

I had the tiniest bit of spotting just one time while wiping at my exam at 10w. I chalked it up to the pap and personally left it alone because it was very little bit and only one time when I wiped. I had an appointment at 12w and baby is totally fine. I posted on here about it and many women said it’s common to spot after a pap.
