Is high school too young to date?

I’m in 8th grade and I’m graduating this year but I think I’m ready to have a boyfriend. I’m 14 and I was wondering would I be too young to date when I’m in grade 9?

No but it all depends on your parents rules. My parents never talked to me about dating and I wasn’t even planning on dating my freshman year but I met this amazing senior and obviously my parents were very upset about the age but they eventually got over it and ended up loving him. We are still together two years later, but looking back I feel like I was too young to date, especially a senior. I was always more mature but I feel like wanting and having a serious relationship at 14 was too much. I wouldn’t trade it for the world and I wouldn’t change it, but that’s just something to think about with age and relationships. When you go into high school you will be hit with all these good looking boys and changes, so I would definitely let it come to you and not rush it. Hope this helped because this would have been nice to know as a freshman!

I think as long as it doesnt go toooo far... dating in 9th grade is acceptable. Just make sure to set boundaries and make sure your parents know that you are safe 🌹

I'm a 15 year old freshman and I've been in a relationship with a guy for a few months now. I'd say personally I've been ready to date for awhile but it all depends on you, your parents, and whoever you may date
