Might be a foolish question but when can your newborn have visitors and be held by them??

I was thinking of visiting my family once the baby arrives but after like 1-2 weeks once we settled in a bit more.

He would be meeting my parents and my sister (who is 22yo). And then maybe a family friend or two.

Is that okay? I feel like I’ve read things saying to wait 8 weeks but that seems like an awful long time ....
